Senior Product UI/UX Designer

For our client, a pre-seed startup with ambitious plans, we are seeking a highly motivated Designer  to join the client team and help shape the future of the company.

You will join our early-stage start-up team as sole designer and will have the opportunity to shape the UX/UI of the product, the design system & design ways of working.  The product is in the early stages of discovery to create a product aimed at helping conference producers and influencers.

We’re looking for a motivated, self-starter, with at least 5 years of design experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Take broad and ambiguous problems and turn them into solution ideas we can test and build to create delightful products.
  • Drive experimentation and user feedback to rapidly learn and iterate.
  • Design that is incredibly simple, elegant, and enjoyable to use
  • Partner closely with product and engineering from concept to launch.
  • In the earlier stages, your role will be multi-functioning and you can expect to be helping with experimentation strategy and user research.
  • We work fractionally but want someone who can turn work around rapidly after each test. You’ll likely work 2-3 days a week with a small squad of engineers, some of whom are UK based and some of whom are near shore.

You should consider joining us if:

  • You are experienced in product design, rapid experimentation, prototyping, data visualisation
  • You have user research experience.
  • You value collaboration and are at your best when you are part of a (small) team
  • You are comfortable with the pace of a fast-moving startup and the ever-changing priorities. In fact, you are more than comfortable, you thrive in it!
  • You’re not looking for a set of product requirements and a design brief.
  • You have a diverse portfolio (B2B favoured), across SaaS and Data products, that reflect design excellence, with examples of effective data visualisation designs.
  • You have empathy for customer needs, but also want to work closely with engineering to understand technical constraints.
  • You are flexible; we’re a very young startup and you’ll be designing lots of low fidelity things to rapidly test assumptions and hypothesis.
  • You’re a pro at Figma and have extensive experience with prototyping tools.
  • Great communication skills whether it be face to face, through video, phone or email.
  • Smart, inquisitive, and have a willingness to sink your teeth into the role.  In particular you should be curious about the best UX for the user – you don’t assume you’re first version design will be anything close to what a user wants.
  • English fluency is required

We offer

  • Long-term employment with competitive compensation, based on experience
  • Possibility to work remotely
  • An open, transparent and fun work culture
  • Multi-national team and collaborative work environment
  • Continuous knowledge sharing with engaged co-workers
