Unreal Engine Environment Artist

You'll use your artistic skills and technical expertise to craft everything from lush landscapes and bustling cityscapes to fantastical alien worlds.


Responsibilities

   - Create high-quality, optimized environment assets using 3D modeling software (e.g., Maya, Blender)

   - Build realistic and immersive environments within Unreal Engine

   - Develop and apply textures and materials to bring environments to life

   - Implement lighting and post-processing effects to achieve the desired mood and atmosphere

   - Collaborate with designers, level builders, and other artists to ensure environments meet creative and technical requirements

   - Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in Unreal Engine and 3D environment art


Qualifications

   - Proven experience as a 3D Environment Artist in the games/film/simulation industry (choose relevant industry)

   Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional environment design skills and the ability to create visually stunning and cohesive worlds in Unreal - Engine

   - Proficiency in Unreal Engine, including a solid understanding of materials, lighting, and level creation

   - Experience with 3D modeling, texturing, and sculpting software (e.g., Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter)

   - Excellent understanding of artistic principles such as composition, color theory, and lighting

   - Ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate ideas clearly

   - Passion for creating high-quality art and a strong desire to contribute to a successful project


Bonus Points

   - Experience with procedural foliage generation tools (e.g., Houdini)

   - Familiarity with baking techniques and optimization best practices

   - Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git)
