This blog was created to honor the career of a beloved Los Angeles civil servant upon his retirement. Ron Deaton is my father-in-law. The site is built with a highly customized Wordpress template. It features a form for user submitted content and excellent integration of Flickr photos. The site's header features a stylized portrayal of Mr. Deaton's places of work - LA's City Hall and Department of Water and Power. The City Hall representation is derived from one of my wife's (Dara Loftis) paintings.
