About Jim Redzinak

Early on in life Jim wanted to be a cowboy but, he threw out his guns and boots and switched them for a pencil, a rapdidograph pen, some watercolors and of course, plenty of paper. Jim still uses a pencil and paper. However, the pencil and paper part eventually finds its way onto a computer where all the designs take on their final form. Jim’s illustrative style uses a variety of graphic and typographical techniques to create the bold and colorful imagesre presented in his designs where his work has run the gamut from packaging to skateboard backs.

An award winning designer, calligrapher and illustrator, Jim enjoys creating posters the most because of the creative freedom they allow. The ones he created for a local middle school’s original productions are especially
endearing. “Having a professionally designed poster for their plays really motivates young performers,” Jim says, “it’s amazing how something so small makes such a difference”.

Jim is a graduate of Kean University with a BA in fine art and visual communications and works in the historic town of Freehold, New Jersey. Read Less
