Professor Moss is a design educator, strategist and consultant, based in Los Angeles.
He is currently an Associate Professor of Graphic Design/Visual Communication in the Department of Art at California State University, Los Angeles. Jimmy recently completed his term as the President of AIGA Los Angeles, the professional association for design.
He has been a guest critic, curator, juror or lecturer at Academy of Art University, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Northridge, Loyola Marymount University, Otis College of Art and Design, San Francisco Art Institute, Stanford University, Loyola Marymount University and Woodbury University.
Before choosing a career in design education in 2005, Jimmy directed creative advertising, strategic design services and interactive product marketing for 17 years for both public and private companies on both the in-house and agency sides.
He is a passionate advocate for the transformative role design and visual communications play in economically and socially responsible change.
