I am a theatrical lighting designer. I will be graduating this spring, 2011, with a BFA in Theatre Arts, Design/Technical Emphasis, from the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Lighting design is my passion. My role as a lighting designer is to support the story being told. I enjoy nothing more than a thoroughly collaborative process. It is my opinion that a production can only reach its full potential through collaboration between all artists involved. In order to achieve this level of collaboration I understand that communication is paramount. I have design and technical training but I consider myself a designer first and try to communicate with directors and designers in conceptual terms relevant to the text,music or dance.

I work in theaters of all sizes and configurations from black box theaters to thrusts or even found spaces. I have maintained a residency at the Duluth Playhouse for the past season working in all three of their venues.
