Senior Designer & Typography Specialist
Specializing in branding & typography.
I have freelanced in-house and independently for a variety of New York City advertising agencies, publishing houses, and music clients. I still accept projects on a selective basis. Client list includes: Turntable.fm, MTV Networks Creative Services, Fanbridge, American Park Network, Manhattan Media, MCT Music Management, UM McCann, SapientNitro, and Catallano, Lellos & Silverstein.
I design at Alloy Digital managing & producing all of the creative for the business development team. The work consists of creating original branding for our video content and applying it to any number of digital media units, typically accompanied by a proposed big-name sponsor, such as Target or Coca-Cola. The challenge lies in being able to produce beautiful and functional design under tight deadlines with little to no assets supplied.
Last year I was given the opportunity to rebrand one of our digital properties, gurl.com. Designing a fresh, youthful, authentic brand for teen girls was a dream. Art directing the redesign of the website was a huge learning experience; and doling out a style guide of 5 themed merchandise approaches within the gurl brand, complete with mock-ups, color palettes, and type treatments, was an eye-opening experience in regards to my love for graphic design & typography as it relates to fashion.
In both roles, I’ve learned the art of successful & constructive communication with coworkers & clients, and also how to manage freelancers and interns.
