Company Overview
The Founder: Jietwong

On November 17th, 1984, a Chinese family in the state of Perak, Malaysia, made space for a new addition to their little nest; an energetic, free-spirited, boy. Having turned 18 years of age, he decided to be known as Jietwong. At the age of 21, he graduated from New Era College in the field of Visual Art Communication, and was ready to join the Design and Advertising industry, bearing an Associate Degree in Art & Design.

After having accumulated a good seven years of experience as a graphic designer within the industry, Jietwong was ready to take the next step in life… turning his dreams into a reality. He was no longer just an ordinary designer; instead he expanded his horizon and become a self-taught artist and an entrepreneur – finally Jietconcepts was established.

A Designer:

“Less about myself, more about my clients” – living by this motto, Jietwong has been able to successfully establish himself within the Design and Advertising industry whilst maintaining a constantly growing portfolio. Being ever so positive, he has taken every good opportunity and bad encounter, and transformed it into a learning platform where there is always room for improvement. As far as branding is concerned, not only does Jietwong ensure that his clients’ identity stands out from the rest with his designs, but that they also provide visuals which would stand the test of time. This allows his clientele to engage with their own customers in a much more effective way while having their say in the designs, thus ensuring maximum satisfaction possible.

Jietwong also provides a further service of handling the printing of bunting, badges, t-shirts, for example. As he knows exactly what the artwork looks like and what the customer is expecting, hence he is able to perform a strict quality check before delivering the end product to his clients.

An Artist:

Having started off with much simpler sketches more than seven years ago, today we find Jietwong as a much more evolved artist. His work depicts human connections in all form. Constantly inspired by talking to, listening and connecting with people from various walks of life, his artwork seems to be by far the best outlet for Jietwong to share his life experiences, giving us the opportunity to absorb it all in our own special way and think outside the box.

An Entrepreneur:

A man of many ambitions, Jietwong has always yearned to be his own boss. This dream was realized by the revival of a long forgotten character, developed by Jietwong himself, named “Didimalao”. This versatile monkey allowed him to take on a new path in life. Created nearly seven years ago as a final year project, it was selected by a post-production house to be part of an in-house project known as “Mfx Picture”. Didimalao can be seen as a reflection of its creator's, Jietwong’s, personality, portraying loving, positive traits with an element of fun to all that it does.

Didimalao has grown from a simple character to one who stands up for what he believes in. The name is derived from a Chinese dialect, can be translated in English to mean “little monkey”. However, one must take note that the term little would prove to be an understatement when it comes to this character. After all, all big things have small, or in this case little, beginnings.
