My Artistic Manifesto
To let the work speak for itself as much as possible.
To leave room for the viewer's own interpretation.
To accept that there may be no interpretation at all.
To leave room for the viewer's own interpretation.
To accept that there may be no interpretation at all.
Why do I take pictures of things?
First, I don't have to ask objects permission to take their picture. I do have difficulty asking strangers for favors, especially in person. Besides, I know little about model release (so far)
Second, taking pictures of things leaves room for you, the viewer, to put yourself in the picture. If you see other people in a photo, you are seeing a piece of their story. If you see a scene without other people -- for example, a table and two chairs on a sunny Santa Monica street -- you can imagine yourself seated at the table.
