Good characters inspire me more than anything. People of all ages and the different personalities behind them make this world worth living in and I aim to capture them in my artwork and stories with all their complexities and quirks.
I find that graphic novels offer me the freedom I desire in capturing these characters. Through this medium, I can create a world that is only limited by what I can imagine. The style of my drawing is both loose and sketchy, but solid enough to clearly represent my ideas.
Dealing with serious issues is important, but sometimes I believe that light cartoony work can be just as important. Much of my work is light, because I believe that art should be fun. But I also believe that as an artist, I am creating within my work a forum for ideas and viewpoints. While my art is fun, it also aims to speak to truth about life, love and the world. Read Less
