Pli

This project started with a simple observation : the proximity of some technical way of production, attributed to different materials, sometimes seems to be the same. So I chose to work on the folding techniques. Nowadays it is well known folding sheets of steel, thermoformed plastic, and bend wood. The objective of this project is to proposed an object that can be realized in various materials, but with the same formal aspect.
Pli is a lamp made in one pièce of material, from a simple cut, and three folds. The wire passes through it, like stitch and can hold the bulb. A hole is made on the back of the lamp allowing user to mounted it on a wall.
Pli offers a further reflection on eco-design, or how we can have an object that can adapt itself to various levels of production, and local expertise. The project remains the same, only material changes !

Tracy

The starting point of ths project is based on an approach of local development, and rediscovery of know-how related to woodworking.
At a time when it calls into question the way we consume products, which is now facing new environmental requirements. It seems necessary to rediscover oldest solutions to build the tomorrow’s methods and rethink uour whole system of production and consumption. This is about « rethinking local economy » for the post-green society.
Here I am interested in furniture, in order to rewrite the image of the « robust » furniture of our grandparents, their stuff have become transgenerational, and a guarentee of sustainability. I opted for a eco-design approach.
Tracy consists of a steel base, recovered from an old tractor and a pinewood structure. Tracy was entirely think « local », since the source of wood, sitting, manufacture and has been completly conceived in the heart of France. Each element is not than one hours drive from the assembly area.
Tracy, a social object. The rocking chair conveys an idea of comfort, counrtyside, a moment passed quietly. It is for this reason that tracy was designer this way, it inspires confidence. This chair is an example of what could be the future of furniture, and how we will « consume » the objects with High durability.

Envi

Today, due to climate changes, political issues, social evolution and the emerging markets, we are fighting against the clock with our waste. Design becomes responsible for a green and environment-friendly future more than ever.
Can you imagine the tomorrow’s world full of «green» waste under the pretext that Mother Nature will do the work? That’s why today’s designer can be more like an “ecological father” of new ideas, for the next coming generations.
Envi, is a foresight urban dustbin, promoting composting from biodegradable waste. The project is based on a social approach. It shows the benefits that we can take from urban recycling. It makes waste into nutritious compost for the plant which it carries and lives in harmony with. The big part of the produced compost can be separated from Envi for usage in other occasions.
This project uses bio-reactive substances based on photo catalysis to accelerate the degradation process of waste, remove bad smells and polluting gas. It is an indicator of human activities on our environment. If the people action is positive the plant grows up, if not it will disappear.
Envi is eco-friendly in a coherent approach; attention was placed on the choice of the materials and their treatment.

Mon Pot

Mon Pot is a pot for flowers, plants that can help you yo know when you need to water it. Some plants do not need water frequently, some plants need to "suffer", we can easlily forget to water them. This concept work very simply, when it is on the base, you just need to burn the pot towards one of the time indicators, a small mark for one day, a larger one for one week, two larger for two weeks.
