<title>additive branding</title>
<description>IDENTITY FOR ADDITIVE
Concept, naming &amp; design

You know when you feel stuck at some point in your life and it becomes obvious that you need a change?

Keep this in mind:
ADD new perspectives, ADD new challenges, ADD emotion, ADD creativity, ADD experimentation…

Become ADDitive

I had been working on Limón for several years, at different stages in my professional life. When the idea of going to the USA to continue my career became a reality I felt I needed a change.

A change in several aspects, so I thought it was a good time to close Limón and start a new way.

Additive was born.

Born of experimentation with light, colour and concept, it is additive not only visually but conceptually too.

<title>Commemorative Poster for relatives</title>
<description>This poster was designed as a commemorative piece for my parents and the family business that is being closed definitively after 27 years of activity. My parents have been in charge of it since 1981, but the business has gone on for more than 100 years, since my great grand father started it.

They are butchers at the Sant Antoni food market in Barcelona, Spain.

The objective was to thank them for the great effort they did to keep this business running in such hard times as when the BSE (mad cow disease) struck in Europe several years ago, and lots of other times, when economy hasn't been that generous to the small commerce, and always help me and my 4 year old brother to have a normal and enjoyable life.

The graphical idea was to do a poster as if my little brother and i had made it together, mixing images of landmarks from Barcelona and a central image belonging to the facade of the market and a butcher's knife representing their occupation, with pictures drawn by my brother.

The caption reads (in catalan):
"You helped the market grow. You helped us grow. Thankyou."

My mother-in-law handed it to my parents (because i'm living in NYC right now and couldn't be there) at the farewell party they held yesterday, 31st of december, and they were totally blown out, they liked the gift.

Hope you like it too.
