His combination of classic typographical technique and free, gestural ink drawings becoming something of a trademark, hinting at what would grow into a distinctive personal voice in both his design and artwork – fusing the techniques and conceptual approaches of design and fine art.
Jamie went freelance in 2010, and in 2011 formed poly, a new design partnership with good friend & great web designer Marlon Lulgjuraj. in addition to art-directing and strategising for clients of their own, poly collaborates frequently with a close circle of talented friends and colleagues within the design, interactive, illustration, photography and fine arts communities. In 2010 Jamie also began exhibiting his personal artwork, appearing in several exhibitions. He currently lives and works in Hamilton, Ontario with his lovely wife & creative confederate, artist/illustrator Jacqui Oakley. Read Less
