Building a design and innovation capability from the ground up. I direct and mentor eight designers, a motion/CGI designer, XD/Figma digital designer, an illustrator, and two writers to support a diverse client roster.
Stabilized and lifted the design capability in the era of work from home and my employees have raised the craft and quality for clients; JBL, Stellantis, Bloomberg, Simply, and UPS Store.

• Implemented DCE (Design Center of Excellence), a creative process/system to mentor and keep employees ambitious, happy and striving to make good work great work.

I managed, hired, and directed a team of 20 creatives, including an award-winning design team featured in Communication Arts Design Annual 2016, ‘17 & ‘18. In 2018 shortlisted at Cannes, awarded one silver and two bronze at the 2018 London International Awards in design. Built a design department utilizing DCE (Design Center of Excellence) a creative process/ system for CW//McCann with a wide range of talent, by adding the capability of rapid prototyping with 3D printing, AI, AR, and VR. In 2018 sold more than 1.4M in technology ideas.

Develop design languages for Fortune 500 companies; provide strategic development and design execution follow through; create animation and illustrations for award-winning campaigns; mentor and lead design teams.

Generated ideas across mediums; led and supported new business pitches (Hyundai, Purina, Wyeth, CarreerBuilder.com, Volvo, Panasonic); created a Tyson chicken pin for the 2008 Bejing Olympics that is now a collector’s item on eBay.

Strategic development and maintenance of multi-faceted advertising and marketing campaigns for several large local clients. Worked with creative team members in development of concept and design of advertising through many different media; including print, direct mail, packaging, multimedia and web, securing a place as the third largest agency in Las Vegas. Promoted to Associate Creative Director and The Merica Agency’s core management team after two years of generating revenue through the acquisition and maintenance of key clients. Worked with clients in such industries as communications, home development, casino, hospitality and tourism.

The start of my career in 1992 under the mentorship of Ron Garrett. It was an amazing time of learning marketing in a fast paced environment.
