Lead UX Designer
While in Microsoft’s Unified Communications Group my responsibilities spanned user research, user modeling, information architecture, and design. I also helped to define, develop and evangelize user centered design processes and methodologies within our group. For the majority of the time I was with Microsoft I was focused on the LiveMeeting group of products, conducting research, building user models, creating a UI architecture, wireframing, and designing the interface. This role developed into a hybrid position in the group where I spent a lot of my time translating the enormous amount of data coming from the research group into something useful, actionable and understandable. This included making models the users for the whole product family, and generating design principles, and designing conceptual solutions to guide the product family as a whole.
