Island is a design collective in Saskatoon, Canada. We create online and offline experiences for brands.

Brett Ede
Co-founder, Interaction Designer

Brett is a designer and entrepreneur at heart. He comes from a development background, completing his studies in Computer Science in 2007. Utilizing a passion for user experience, he finds the delicate balance between beautiful design and pragmatism to present your company’s goals. Much of his previous work comes from over four years with zu, a Saskatoon interactive agency, where he served as Lead Designer and helped many large brands such as FedEx, Intel, Tim Hortons, Cold Stone Creamery, and Blue Cross find their way in the digital space.

Dustin Weeres
Co-founder, Interaction Designer

Dustin’s roots are in design and branding for new businesses, and excels in providing seamless web experience for all users. He began designing for web after completing his degree in New Media Communications in 2002. For over 4 years, Dustin worked as a senior designer with zu. His experience includes work with Cameco, PotashCorp, TransCanada, The Cooper Companies and the Calgary Stampeders.

Amanda Gibbs
Designer

Amanda brings to the table experience in freelance design, specializing in illustration and design for print. Previously an employee at zu, she gained experience in project and team management. A problem solver at heart, Amanda’s passion lies in being pushed creatively. Amanda’s design experience includes working with Tim Hortons, the Government of Saskatchewan, Sask Canola, Manos and Coconut Calendar. Read Less
