Instruct is the graphic design agency of John Owens based in central Manchester.
John has previously worked Urban Splash, Ian Simpson Architects and Drumbeat Creative.
John has worked client-side with leading design studios such as North, Dalton Magg, The Designers Republic, LOVE, The Neighbourhood, Bubble, Magnetic North, Un:titled and Build whilst in his role as senior designer at Urban Splash.
Working across many different sectors from architectural to public sector, Instruct's work includes design for print, web, exhibitions, illustration, typography, signage, branding and apparel.

Influences

Graphic design, the culture and all the processes that surround it have dominated my life for over 10 years.
Having working for 4 years in an Architectural/Regeneration background I find this experience informs my work alongside many other things. Graphic design is not the biggest focus for me, music, art and mostly anything cultural influences me more.
All this sounds all serious but I do have a laugh as well(!) I am Northern and proud, I enjoy the fruits of the city and thankful that I get to be creative for a living working with some great people in the process.
