Idil berkan is a multi-disciplinary designer and art director working with brands to create integrated cross-platform communications across diverse industries, immersed in strategic thinking. She's been in the field for 8 years, using "perfection is hidden in details" as her motto. She started her career in Beymen, an upscale fashion and department store retailer that offers hundreds of brands from around the world along with their own collections and lines, and quickly built an in-house visual merchandising graphics department to cut annual design costs by 40%. She managed her team to conceive comprehensive branding elements from corporate identity kits to retail packaging to marketing materials.
She designed three Coca-Cola bottle sleeves ( as a part of the project - Reflections Of Nature -Beymen & Coca Cola Company Collaboration) for limited edition runs of 50,000 each including 100 highly exclusive collector’s packaging and implemented designs in complementary retail merchandising, window displays and press-kits.
After Beymen, she played a pivotal role as an art director in SelectNY, a worldwide communications and advertising agency that has offices in New York, Paris, London, Berlin, Geneva, Hamburg and Koblenz. Her contribution was critical to create campaigns for the most prestigious clients such as Emporio Armani, Tim McGraw, Christina Aguilera, Joop! Fashion, Nautica, meeting the highest standards.
Since 2009, she's been practising design as an independent artist and developing relationships with new businesses and executing elegant and custom muti-media design solutions. Her clients vary from retail to sports to finance and real estate. She’s designed press kits, annual reports, look books and ad campaigns to rejuvenate established brands' existing visual languages and managed the needs of emerging businesses, conceptualizing a visual brand identity.
She’s recently worked on several e-commerce websites, digital and print advertising and collateral. Her clients include; J.Mendel, Lenox Advisors, Fashion to Figure, Darren Henault Interiors, JMC Holdings, Gran Fondo New York and Swim Bike Run. Read Less
