Originally from Canada, Howard graduated with High Distinction from the Carleton University School of Industrial Design and got his professional start designing products that retailed at Brookstone and Design Within Reach.
The allure of the San Francisco Bay Area’s design and technology community drew him to join renowned global design firm frog design in 2000, where he worked closely with its founder, Hartmut Esslinger to develop successful product lines for Disney and Motorola. As Creative Director, Howard lead frog's San Francisco product design team on client relationships such as Intel, Sephora, Starbucks, Seagate, Tupperware, Wrigley, Titleist, Chrysler, and Logitech.
In 2011, Howard Joined Ammunition as VP, Industrial Design Studio. Working closely with the Ammunition partners, Howard developed relationships with both Fortune 500 and start-up companies alike, leading product development from definition to delivery. Clients included companies such as LG, Skype, Lark, Williams Sonoma, Nook by Barnes & Noble, and Beats by Dr. Dre.
Howard has designed award-winning products in a broad range of industries including mobile, telecom, housewares, sports, medical, packaging, industrial, automotive, and alternative energy. Howard’s work has been showcased in publications such as Fast Company, Businessweek, Fortune, Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Business 2.0, ID Magazine, and O The Oprah Magazine; media venues including CTIA and San Jose Museum of Art; and countless movie and television placements.
