Originally from Canada, Howard graduated with High Distinction from the Carleton University School of Industrial Design and got his professional start designing products that retailed at Brookstone and Design Within Reach.

The allure of the San Francisco Bay Area's design and technology community drew him to join renowned global design firm frog design in 2000, where he worked closely with its founder, Hartmut Esslinger to develop successful product lines for Disney and Motorola. As Creative Director, Howard lead frog's San Francisco product design team on client relationships such as Intel, Sephora, Starbucks, Seagate, Tupperware, Wrigley, Titleist, Chrysler, and Logitech.

In 2011, Howard Joined Ammunition as VP, Industrial Design Studio. Howard developed relationships with both Fortune 500 and start-up companies alike, leading product development with clients that include LG, Skype, Lark, Square, Adobe, Nook by Barnes & Noble, and Beats by Dr. Dre.

Most recently, Howard is the Head of Industrial Design at Samsung Design America. His role is to provide leadership in the definition, design, and development of revolutionary products that live within the mobile ecosystem and home environment. The charter at SDA is to disrupt established markets, define new categories of business, and design innovative products for people everywhere to enjoy.

Howard has designed award-winning products in a broad range of industries including mobile, telecom, housewares, sports, medical, packaging, industrial, automotive, and alternative energy. Howard’s work has been showcased in publications such as Fast Company, Businessweek, Fortune, Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Business 2.0, ID Magazine, and O The Oprah Magazine; media venues including CTIA and San Jose Museum of Art; and countless movie and television placements.
