Hanerino is a two-person design studio based just north of Boston. It was founded in 2009 by Patrick Haney and Jenna Marino, to create a company that focused their creative talents on developing visually enticing, highly usable and
creative user experiences in a variety of mediums, products and devices.

Hanerino has extensive experience working alongside large corporations like Univision, Blockbuster, Xerox & AOL, educational institutions such as RIT & Harvard, and small local businesses. We create a customized solutions for product and
application designs as well as marketing & branding.

Our designs, while aesthetically pleasant, also encompass industry best-practices in information design, usability and accessibility across browsers, users and mediums.

Patrick & Jenna also run Refresh Boston (http://refreshboston.org), a monthly meetup of web folk in the Boston area that discuss design, development, user research and other web-related topics. Patrick is a designer that also writes code. He started his career as a web developer but has transitioned to the world of UI/UX, which gives him a unique perspective on how things should be designed and then built. He is a part-time adjunct instructor at the Center for Digital Imaging Arts (http://cdiabu.com), a certificate program at Boston University, where he teaches classes in both the Graphic and Web Design department and the Web Development department. Previously Patrick worked for a range of other institutions including startups, large corporations and universities, including Xerox, Kodak and Harvard University. Patrick takes a web standards approach to all his work, thinking about future-proofing his code and making it as accessible as possible. Jenna comes from a print design & illustration background, which she uses to her advantage when it comes to the digital world of design. She has since championed user experience on the web, mobile devices and TV applications. She worked in both agency and corporate environments prior to co-founding Hanerino and continues to work with large and small businesses alike. Her most recent work includes design on Univision's UVideos product (http://uvideos.com) on the web, iPad and Xbox. She was also a lead designer on the product suite for Blockbuster, specifically user experience and visual design for their mobile client, TV client, PC client as well as their mobile website. Jenna has experience in branding & marketing, working in agencies such as TMP Worldwide, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Hunt & Gather. She has over 15 years experience in product design, interface design for mobile, web & CE applications, and website design. Read Less
