The most important lesson I picked up as a student at St. Martins was that there should always be an underlying message, a strong idea in everything you do. That has somewhat stuck with me ever after. Of course, I always strive to make beautiful, eye catching things, and – some people would claim – put a little bit too much attention to detail. But, what’s of the greatest importance to me, is to find a concept - find that brilliant idea - that makes everything fall into place, makes a project fun to work with and – I think – make the work stand the test of time, even though graphic expressions constantly change.
