GRONGAARD Art & Design Studio explores the crossroads between art, illustration and graphic design.
GRONGAARD's art revolves around an existential interest in the concept of "being". Culture, people and nature are the starting point for most of the work, all of which features a simple aesthetic that is GRONGAARD's trademark. GRONGAARD exhibits art projects through METERVARA + GRONGAARD, and sell art posters via well-known Danish design shops.
GRONGAARD's graphic work stems from the desire to translate a strategic challenge into visual communication. Mette Grøngaard has several years' experience as an Art Director from Danish agencies and now works freelance on specific projects, where she uses techniques from art to create unique solutions for brands, events, campaigns, magazines and brochures.
"GRONGAARD is where I explore the boundaries between art and graphic design. My artistic projects are about being involved - about giving people the chance to interpret their own story through my aesthetics. On the other side, my graphical solutions aim to convey a message as simply as possible. Both inspire me, and I see it as my mission to use the same craft to solve problems in both worlds."
