We were assigned a Time Life book, mine being from 1965 was titled "Animal Behavior". We had to redesign two chapters from the book, bind the book, and make a hard bound cover and book wrap around. These are some excerpts from various parts of chapters in the book that I designed. (Please excuse the lighting in the photographs as I will have to re-shoot it when I get it back from my teacher. I was only able to use one lamp to take photo's as the others were being used at the time. It was then hand made out of sheet metal and fiberglass. Below are pictures of the design, the build process, and recent shots of it just out of the paint booth. I will be sure to post more pics once the car is fully put back together. My city I decided to design is called “Multiplicity”. The idea behind my city was to have an abstract styled design so that when created it can have multiple outcomes on how the person would build it. All the pieces are made to intertwine and relate solid colors with repeating patterns.
