Ginkogecko embodies the traditions of the ginkgo tree and the gecko. The ginkgo tree because it is, multi-branched, diverse, graceful and elegant, golden in color, or a lively fresh green. In the Asian tradition, the tree is a symbol of good fortune and longevity. Its imagery is steeped in tradition. All parts of the tree are healing and useful. A poem by the 19th-century writer Li Shanji extols the ginkgo:
In exquisite billows,
the foliage cascades
from its shrouded source in the sky;
green abundance veils the top-
dwelling place of the lone crane.
Like a dancing phoenix,
its trunk soars to the clouds,
like a coiled dragon perching on a cliff
these images reveal its hidden forces.

The gecko is unique among animals. It is adaptable, agile and extremely clever. The gecko lizard occurs on every continent, adapting to many different environments. The pads stick tenaciously to any surface, allowing them to go anywhere. Their scientific family name is "Phyllodactylidae", "phyllo" meaning leaf and "dactyl" meaning toe, because many species of geckos have toes that are shaped like the ginkgo leaf.(http://www.minnpost.com/markneuzil/2008/06/09/2151/u_student_helps_discover_a_new_family_of_geckos)
