Manuel Garrido is a lighting designer working internationally on plays, musicals, dance and opera.
In 2008 Manuel began collaborating as a stage lighting designer with an internationally recognized director of opera and theater. This fruitful creative relationship develop almost ten productions for the stage such as Oedipus the King (Play), Happy End (Musical), Don Giovanni (Opera).
In 2010 he designed the lights for his first Opera: Mozart´s "Don Giovanni" and he toured to China as the Technical Director of a Ballet Company who performed at The 11th China Shanghai International Arts Festival in the Shanghai Grand Theatre, China.
Manuel was nominated for Best Lighting Design in the 2010 ACE Awards for the Italian play LA GRANDE MAGIA staged at the San Martin General Theatre in Buenos Aires. This production was also nominated for Best Lighting Design in the 2010 Maria Guerrero Awards and the 2010 World's Theater Award. Read Less
