My name is Mikel Garate, I am 24 years old and I am from Donostia /San Sebastian (Spain). I studied Product Design in ELISAVA Escola Superior en Disseny (Barcelona).
I also studied during my first two years of the career graphic and space/interior design, apart form product design.
After that I specialized the last two years on Product Design. The second semester of the 3 year I studied on TUDelft Industrial Design as a exchange student (Delft, Holland).
I did a short course in Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design (London) about "Glass".
I did an internship in London (United Kingdom) in Oscar Diaz Studio (http://www.oscar-diaz.net/) in 2011 and an internship in Madrid (Spain) in kawamura-ganjavian (http://www.studio-kg.com/) for 6 months. In both of them working in the area of Product Design.
I personally see my self in some years working as a Product Designer but I have to say that I also like the graphic design and photograph. I also take them into account as references. I like working on projects from the starting point or conceptual/thinking part until the making a final model.

This is my Final Project of my career (2010, ELISAVA, Barcelona) which was selected by ADI-FAD for Medalles Adi'11 (http://www.adifad.org/concursos/medallas3/concurso.php?p=galeria&id_concurso=52#) in Barcelona for an exhibition; http://www.vimeo.com/12583614
I am everyday looking to design websites, different projects, studios because I like it. So me and other two friends are working on this web site http://www.themethodcase.com/, which is focused on the process of any kind of
project/area, but from now more on Product Design.
Thanks,
