unfortunate umbrellas
- THE STORY OF
UNFORTUNATE UMBRELLAS
An umbrella-themed art show inspired by Lynn Casper's Unfortunate Umbrella project.
by lynncasper
Umbrellas were designed to shield us from the many elements of nature. Sun. Wind. Rain. Snow. But what happens when those objects fail to protect us? Do we reject them just the same? Tossed aside and neglected, unfortunate umbrellas tell a story of loss & tragedy, abandonment & betrayal. This project showcases the beauty that is often overlooked.
Unfortunate Umbrellas Exhibit will be on display March 4th - 27th 2011 at Projekte in Wilmington, North Carolina. Opening reception is at 7pm March 4th.
