In order to do anything well, let alone argue that we might be any good at designing the future, we must tell the stories of us, we must reach inside and transition who we are into what we do. Whether conceptualizing a new kind of wellness service at YELO SPA, a new kind of lifestyle app with IN THE MOOD or a new kind of living altogether for Cindy Gallop's BLACK APARTMENT (all available for your perusal in this portfolio,) the assumption is that we have had, and will continue to have, new ideas available to create new kinds of anything that presents themselves at THE APARTMENT's door. Those stories can however only be born of interesting lives, borne of the unquenchable thrists to fulfill our many curiosities. And in order to have ostensibly interesting lives, we must sometimes launch ourselves in foreign situations in foreign lands with foreigners. That is why we love travel.
And we don't merely love to travel, we feel it is an essential part of life, the part that allows for the discovery of perspectives heretofore untouched, heretofore unsmelled, heretofore unseen. That is why, every year, we make time to explore lands both familiar and unfamiliar, in search not of ourselves, but of our place in the unavoidably repetitve and monochromatic landscapes of "where we work" and "where we live."
These are a few memories from those trips, commited to digital bits... enjoy and then get your own ticket out!
