Challenging logo design for a vibrant new business, tisberry Frozen Yogurt. The name is the brainchild of the business owners and is a play on the name of the town where the business is located, Tisbury, Martha's Vineyard. Anyone who is a fan of frozen yogurt knows that the word "berry" implies frozen yogurt.
10 days before July 4th opening date, the clients requested a logo design. Not knowing exactly what they wanted, but knowing what they didn't, several initial options were delivered as points for direction. The brainstorming session for choice of colors was a fun process and final colors were chosen by gathering a variety of different colored handled scissors from the studio. Being a food business it was important to keep the logo looking clean and fresh. The process quickly led us to two logo options. One, an oval design used on stickers appearing on yogurt cups, and also used for decals. The second, suggesting toppings which is a big attraction at this popular venue. The customer can choose their own. This second toppings logo was applied to loyalty cards, T-shirts, and used throughout the clients' ad campaigns in newspaper, and color magazine ads. Designed by Tara Kenny in collaboration with Michael Hunter via "Island Branding", a co-owned design agency.
