this infographic shows my major relationships with 250 of my acquaintances, friends and relatives from 1988 (the year of my birth) until the end of 2012. it also shows the major relationships between them in the given period.

the years, shown as sectors, move in a clockwise direction. each person is represented by an arc that begins in the year when we first met, and, if we lost touch later the arc ends in the year when the relationship was interrupted. (arcs ending in 2012 only represent the end of the year in the infographic database, and not the end of a contact.) i stand in the center of the circle, so the depth and the closeness of my individual connections are indicated by the distance between the arcs and the center point. thus the 250 acquaintances are arranged in a kind of proximity order. the frequency of the connection is shown by three different line types, and the 15 colors indicate the way in which we know each other. the romantic and parent-child relationships between my acquaintances are also visible on the infographic, in addition to the dates of births and deaths.

az évek körcikkenként óraszerűen haladnak körbe. minden személyt egy körív jelöl, mely abban az évben indul, amikor az ívhez tartozó személlyel először találkoztunk, és – amennyiben később megszakadt a kapcsolatunk – az ív a megszakadás évében ér véget. (a 2012-ben végződő körívek nem a kapcsolat, hanem az év és az infografika adathalmazának végét jelölik csupán.) a kör középpontjában én állok, így az egyes kapcsolataim mélységét, szorosságát a körívek középponthoz mért távolsága jelöli, ekképpen rendeződik egyféle közelségi sorrendbe a 250 ismerős. a kapcsolat rendszerességét a körívek háromféle vonalminősége mutatja, a 15 szín pedig azt jelöli, hogy honnan ismerjük egymást. az infografikán szerepelnek az ismerőseim közt létrejött szerelmi kapcsolatok és szülő-gyermek viszonyok, valamint a születések-halálok időpontjai is.
