this is a magazine project i did for my history of graphic design class at the university of montevallo (spring 2011). my goal was to take the international typographic style, and apply it to modern-day subject matter; in this case, a cover and spreads highlighting current bands such as la roux, chromeo, daft punk, and justice. it was a very fun project to do, as i allowed myself to play with the bold, bright, yet basic CMYK pallete, and got to deal with subject matter that i very much enjoy. all photos and articles were appropriated from existing sources. layouts, faux ads, choice of typography, and all graphic elements created by yours truly.
