reStart Inc., is an interfaith ministry with homeless persons, is committed to providing shelter and supportive services to homeless men, women, youth and families with the goals of helping persons move toward independence and self-sufficiency and ending homelessness in our community.

This is a combination of two projects: a flyer and a handbill. As reStart Inc. has undergone a rebranding, these two projects were the first materials to receive the new look.

I felt it important to use a strong baseline grid for the text in order to provide a sense of stability, something that people experiencing a transitional home situation often lack. The additional columnar grid for the organization of the content also helps to achieve a sense of order, a similarly lacking element in the live of the people reStart Inc. is trying to assist.

There was loads of information in both projects, but I tried where I could to utilize whitespace to open up the layout a bit and give the content some breathing room. Colors were used with restraint in order to bump up the white space and give the overall layout a clean feeling.
