this project started with a stream of random 1's and 0's, visualised as a grid of dots.

the dots were fragmented by taking low resolution screen shots and layering these into composite images
colours were incorporated into the images by masking photos with the black and white random dots

a parallel strand of work involved dripping ink on to paper in random positions on a grid and scanning in the dots, which were then compiled as outlines.
