Client: Action Without Borders

thehappycorp was approached by the Idealist team in 2007 to help articulate their mission and refine their brand mark in order to make sure that the brand was rewarded for its good deeds. Here are some examples from our multi-year design relationship. One of the most defining moments was when we connected Yellow to Image, Blue (like water) as Connect, and Green (like go) as Action.

THE BUSINESS CARDS

We tried many variations on the idea of "CONNECT" and discovered that connecting the front and the back of the business card made for a special interaction.

IDEALIST.ORG WEBSITE

My team worked closely with the Idealist management team to collaborate on visual design, interaction-design, and the development of iconography for a new version of the site.

IDEALIST HANDVETICA

We developed a hand painted version of helvetica to be a special font to be used in advertising, communications, and illustrations.

ILLUSTRATIONS

We developed an illustration style based on the logo, that could be used in communications materials, leveraging the painted logo mark.

Doug Jaeger served as creative director and art director on this project while he was Founder / CEO of thehappycorp global.
