iOS Icons

- The great thing about the iOS platform is the design-rich community it has. This of course translates into really well designed apps and icons. The Homescreen of an iOS device at most times looks like a collective portfolio of some really good icon designers.
That being said, there still can be some icons that look entirely out of place or might not be up to par with the the quality of its app. As a personal exercise to improve my icon design skills, I decided to redesign some of the icons that I thought could improve.
I've worked on the below so far and I hope to continue with more. Keep watching this page!
- 8mm Vintage CameraThe app is super but i felt icon was a bit out of place when kept next to other camera apps. Which is not a bad thing, but i wanted to unify with the rest of the apps, while still preserving it’s character!

- Textie
With this icon I tried to reference the black & white pixellated screens of the phones we used to use back in the day when texting was all the rage!

- Instagram
I felt the the original icon didn’t go to well with the rest of the apps so I made this. Inspired by old polaroid cameras that I'm sure the original takes cues from too.

- Words with Friends
Words is a really awesome scrabble clone that I'm super addicted to right now, It has a great online multiplayer mode that I'm having a blast playing with my girl.
Again, I felt that the icon of this app could be improved upon, so here is my version!
