Huis/dier = home/animal = pet exists of 10 gouaches. Every image combines an animal and a kind of home. Some came to me while letting my imagination run free, others I more or less found while traveling abroad where I saw the kind of houses that I had never dreamt of, surrounded by animals that I would not dare sleep next to.

For example: One may feel relatively save sleeping in a box, while the other feels completely comfortable in a palace. However, even in a palace men is not king. The real owner of the place is the royal termite living on a daily diet of precious satins and velvets.
