Gallery South will be the first facility of this kind in Poland. The load-bearing structure, which in traditional projects is precisely covered, is exposed in this project, so that it simultaneously functions as external elevation. This is one of the ideas thanks to which the building will be energy-efficient as the solution applied makes it possible to limit the costs of insulation.
architectural concept:
jacket turned inside out - the load-bearing structure, which in traditional projects is precisely covered, is exposed in this project and functions as external elevation. Thanks to such solution the project is energy-efficient as the applied solution makes it possible to limit the costs connected with insulation of the building;
a slab with a green roof - it separates the functions of services and retail from the offices, at the same time functioning as both a stunning roof of the entrance part of two office buildings implemented first and a green garden - a place for relaxation - available only to the office users. Moreover, in order to further separate the two functions of the building, independent entrances have been designed - entrances to the offices are to be from ul. Kolejowa and later from the northern side, whereas the entrances to the retail building - from the side of the internal ground car park.
external elevation - external mesh, partly covered with vegetation - such structure of the facade improves the thermal comfort. Additionally, the greenery covering the building reduces the adverse influence of extreme atmospheric conditions, such as: wind, rain, frost or excessive heat in summertime;
Important info for lessees: the mesh, forming closed elevation, will also perform other functions: the lighting and logos of the most important lessees of Galeria Południe will be installed on it.

The buildings combining two basic functions - retail and office function - will form a complex operating from early morning till late evening hours. The initial functional assumption of the project is to separate the two parts so that they can operate independently from each other.
The intended effect can be achieved primarily by applying, at the height of the first storey, a slab with a green roof. It separates the functions of services and retail from the offices, at the same time functioning as both a stunning roof of the entrance part of two office buildings implemented first and a green garden - a place for relaxation - available only to the office users. Moreover, in order to further separate the two functions of the building, independent entrances have been designed - entrances to the offices are to be from ul. Kolejowa and later from the northern side, whereas the entrances to the retail building - from the side of the internal ground car park.

The facade of buildings is designed as double elevation, with structural truss on both sides. It consists of internal glazing and external mesh, partly covered with vegetation. Such structure of the facade improves the thermal comfort. Additionally, the greenery covering the building reduces the adverse influence of extreme atmospheric conditions, such as: wind, rain, frost or excessive heat in summer.
In particular, it muffles noise, gives shade and preserves coolness in summer, and in winter reduces the loss of heat through external walls of the building, which translates directly into decrease in annual service charges.
Moreover, greenery has a positive effect on the sense of aesthetics and psyche of the building users. It makes the city more attractive and increases the prestige of the building, reflects the change of seasons, facilitates identification of the building and gives a chance to commune with nature.

flexibility of space
All the office buildings are designed in the same structural system. They consist of the main internal core (stairwells, lifts, technical rooms and raisers) and external reinforced concrete truss. As a result, the office space is not divided because of the arrangement of any structural components.
The above solution offers a possibility of free arrangement and sectioning off the space, thus addressing the current and future needs of individual lessees. The space of one storey may be divided into 2 or 4 smaller areas for lease or it may serve as one 'open space’.

First of all, the project assumes the construction (according to the local site development plan) of two office buildings and with a 2-level underground car park and a retail facility with a shopping arcade and a ground car park. At the level of the first storey the whole complex hole comlark.yar parkth them): according to the local site development plan) construction of two builkdingswill be covered by a green roof connecting all the designed buildings. The following stage will focus on further expansion, i.e. construction of another office block.
