  • d/r scissors
A pair of scissors inspired by Bob Dylan song Desolation Row (1965)
  • The logo was inspired by the original song typed with a typewriter by Dylan. He has a really characteristic way to type. With some habits of his very own. The idea of the design was taken in the period when the song was written: Art Deco was resurgering, after a decline of this style in the late 30’s. So it's based on geometrical forms: circle, square, rectangle and the idea of omitting any superfluous details, ornaments. From first to last image: final render of the scketches and technical drawings in watercolor painting, a rough prototype made with cardboard, final prototype.
