mixed media paintings on panel - visual exploration of decay through abstraction. the top and bottom panels speak of death and decay as natural processes; the gold panels to the left and right are made, through the use of gold paint, to suggest the human attempt to gloss over or ignore these inevitable truths.
materials include wood panels, matte medium, gesso, watercolor, iridescent acrylic, and ink.
panels are 20"x20" square each.
