Bike is a futuristic remake of the best personal transportation ever, the bicycle.
This concept integrates all the necessary parts into a clean and dynamic frame design that redefines the term Bike.
It represents a bridge between yesterday bicycles and tomorrow’s new solutions to daily commuting problems. Bike is an electric bicycle for the daily commuter.
It doesn’t matter what kind of bike configuration you use, with or without battery, Bike is a substitute for all the polluting vehicles.
The design intends to be futuristic in aesthetics and ethics, as a symbiosis of form and technology.
You can choose the configuration you want, using big 2.3” tires for mountain bike days, or slick tires for an everyday use.
The bike is equipped with a 250w electric motor that inside has an integrated 10 velocities hub, which means that you can use it without the electric assistance like a normal geared bike. It has one lithium ion battery, which is located in the middle of the bike, near the gravity center. This battery is integrated and easy to remove. You can remove the battery and use the bike as a normal bicycle, without a heavy weight on it. The hub has ten velocities integrated, that you can switch with the shifter in the handlebar.
Powered assisted pedaling range up to 70 – 80 Km and the power range of the engine alone raise up to 40 km. It can be fully charged in two hours.
To recharge, the battery can be removed, or simply plugged into the wall via a conventional socket. Alternatively the battery can be charged ‘on the go’ with the regenerative braking function whilst braking downhill.
The bike uses 26” wheels and hydraulic brakes. The frame is made of aluminum 6061 tubes with ABS plastic parts to cover the frame tubes.
Whilst traveling riders can access important information such as projected range, battery capacity and power assist levels via an integrated Smartphone app, mounted in a removable case.
Bike is the way to both preserve our environment and keep healthy.
