adidas World Cup 2006 Campaign

So this is a huge project I worked on back in 2005/2006 for the World Cup. Up to that date it was by
far the biggest campaign adidas ever produced. There were many people who worked on other parts of this project - much respect to them - but my chief role was as art director.

The campaign started in 2005 with 3 main phases leading up to the event itself, and I started off by designing the 'signature' for each player (seen above) and the print work for the announcement phase. The country background designs were used in over 250 executions and all sorts of applications like outdoor, online, mobile apps, gifts and a loads of other branded items. There was also a major TV spot made but I didn't work on that.
