a secret club tells a tale

The current website for a secret club is a story.
You walk through a series of rooms, choosing where to go and what to do in the good old Fighting Fantasy style and along the way there are a number of downloads hidden.
A secret club work with play as an integral part of communication and learning and the website had to reflect this - visitors must play and explore to get the downloads, but furthermore, they mustn't be there just to get free stuff. Our culture is obsessed with goal-oriented thinking - even in the form of play (think sports) - a secret club promotes a collaborative form of play. (Think playing with toys or pretending you are an alien.)
When one of the members of a secret club was a child, he had to go home, he couldn't play with his friend any longer, possibly because a family dinner was on or something. As the two friends parted, they agreed that they  would each play in their separate homes, individually, but within the same story framework - it was something about there being two Lando Calrissians - and thereby extending their play without actually being in the same house.
Of course it was more boring than playing together, but the idea of collaborative play without face-to-face interaction is something a secret club's website tries to use.
The story was originally published on twitter as an experiment, but has been recycled for the website. This kind of "Fighting Fantasy" style storytelling is something that will be expanded and tried in other settings in the near future.
