Yellowside Exchange is an organization that provides mentorship to Southeast Asian youths in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. The youngsters in this community could use some inspiration, as a shortage of role models remains prevalent ever since waves of refugees arrived after evacuating Southeast Asia a few decades ago. Many of our young people are raised in large families, brought up by single parents, and are not aware of the possibilities their future may hold. In hopes of preventing them from dropping out of school, becoming gang-affiliated, or entrenching themselves in entry-level positions for the rest of their lives, we want to pair each potential youth with a creative professional (of Asian descent) who can light up avenues of creative - aspirations through one-on-one companionship.
Upon joining, members should feel part of a community that is supportive,
encouraging, and inspiring. The brand of this project maintains the qualities of Yellowside Exchangeʼs attributes and delivers an inviting gift set that will
welcome them into the program. Included is a t-shirt, ID card w/ lanyard,
sketchbook, brochure, agenda and mini-easel, all accompanied by a letter. Read Less
