My briefing for this project consisted in redesigning the original advertisement found in the Spanish version of the Yellow Pages and modify it so that it would have a more correct design, a better ordering of the information and a more effective effect on users of the Yellow Pages. I also had some constraints though, such as having to keep the original colors and having to maintain all the information listed on the original ad.
With the new design, I added a more visual representation of what the company actually does (excavations and the like), and I did without the green color to reinforce the association with the world of sand, dirt, dust, gravel, and so on. By better using the availabe space, I managed to save some blank space on top that lets the ad 'breathe', so to speak, thus resulting in it being more visible among lots of other ads packed with information up to all of their four sides. The general aspect looks now much cleaner and better ordered.
