Yard Core Show Open
- Over the past 18 months, I have been gaining Creative Director experience with Scripps Networks Interactive Home Category (DIY Network and HGTV.) This particular show open was created for DIY Network, with a reach of over 50 million households.
This still shot taken on location in Sacramento, California hints at the original vision for this open in which the metal logo would be mounted on a rock and dropped from the sky by a crane. In case you were wondering, the age-old design adage "without contrast you are dead" is still true today. This particular version of the show open was cut due to readability issues. Still, seeing a metal logo suspended from a crane always ranks in my book.
