The YWCA of O'ahu is the oldest women's membership organization in the State of Hawai‘i with the mission of empowering women and eliminating racism. The YWCA of O'ahu offers opportunity to women for growth, leadership and power to change. Three centers at the YWCA, Fernhurst, Kokokahi and Laniākea, provide valuable programs and services that develop women and girls' social, economic, leadership and community building skills.

When I started with the YWCA, there was no website and no external digital communications. I recruited and engaged a community of storytellers and facilitated the storytelling juice that ensured the enewsletter's readership continue to grow. Although I was the driver and the technician, the successes are not mine alone but shared by all those who were generous and enthusiastic contributors.
