Sub-brands system design, brand guidelines and graphic design to promote
the musical events organized during the jubilee year by Xacobeo 2010.
These were: Xacobeo Classics (classical music), Xacobeo roots (Galician
folk music), Xacobeo Underground (indie galician bands) and Xacobeo Vivo
The main goal was to achieve a flexible graphic system in which all
brands kept a graphic line in common, but at the same, time each of them
needed to reflect their own style according to the type of event they
were promoting. On the other hand, it was mandatory to include the "10"
logo and the Xacobeo logotype (both main identifying marks designed by
Alberte Permuy) as part of each brand. Without much room left for
creativity, the solution was to design the overall graphic identity
using a typography and color system that would easily allow to identify
each brand independently but also to be recognized as part of a group
keeping a visual connection with each other.
The result was a consistent and easily recognizable identity system with
optimal legibility over both color and photographic backgrounds and
good portability into all media.
