This book was my BIG project during my internship at BüroX Design in Vienna. For those, who do not know what a "babybook" is: it is a book where parents write down when their baby smiled for the first time, when the first steps were made and what their nicknames were - photos included.
The content and the illustrations were kind of old-fashioned, so BüroX decided to do a
"book relaunch". The first step for me was to adapte the concept and the content. I did loads of reasearch on what parents prefer to have in a babybook and what not. As a result of the research, we changed some parts of the content. Second step was the layout.
Simultaneously I started doing the illustrations. I mixed scanned stuff from buttons to different sorts of fabric to different kinds of pearls with my drawings.
The book contains 64 pages - it is a mixture of double pages with either text and illustrations or text and a picture frame.
