This was a project completed back in 2011, while still in school at Fanshawe College.. At least 100 hours went into this project. I took X-rays and pen tooled their regular shape...And then I broke them. I loved it from the very beginning as I was able to make my own unique skateboard design. The idea first came to my mind when I thought about everyone trying to one up each other with tricks. And I thought, how cool it would be if you got an actual injury of doing something you love and would die for.... to be printed on a skateboard. Just to show that you still got the cajones to go back out there after (insert injury here) happened. Watching professional and amateur skaters go for it all and seeing the glory on their face after landing a trick that almost caused them to never go back to the sport again...that is cool. Like they just conquered that fear. So here is an actual collection of real x-rays of injuries on skateboards.
