This is one of my many entries for the Australia Victoria Aids Council brief for a poster for World Aids Day which commences on the 1st of December. The idea for the poster came to light after researching through their fact sheet and various documents outlining ways AIDS can be contracted and passed through person to person.
The syringe idea was developed using various sketching tools and once a clear idea was developed, I began to place it into square documents on layout pad to give me an idea of placement and layout of imagery. I have gone for a simple structure to the syringe as this gives more impact to the poster as a whole, if the syringe was overly stylized it would take away from the message.
